Location: Sheffield – Hybrid (3 days in the office 2 days from home)
Salary: £35,000 - £42,000 + Commission (£30,000-£40,000 OTE)

We are currently recruiting for a Business Development Manager on behalf of a market-leading software business. This is a high impact role focused on driving new business and growing revenue within existing accounts through a consultative, value-led sales approach.

Key Responsibilities of a Business Development Manager

  • Drive new business acquisition while expanding revenue across existing customer accounts
  • Identify, engage, and influence key decision-makers within target organisations
  • Deliver engaging, value-based demonstrations that clearly articulate return on investment
  • Manage the full sales cycle from initial contact through to close
  • Build, manage, and progress a strong sales pipeline
  • Consistently meet and exceed sales targets and KPIs
  • Maintain accurate CRM data, forecasts, and activity records
  • Stay up to date with product developments, market trends, and competitor activity

Skills & Experience of a Business Development Manager

  • Experience in a sales role with a proven track record of managing the full sales cycle and exceeding targets
  • Strong drive to achieve and surpass goals, with clear personal accountability for performance
  • Commitment to continuous personal development and a willingness to learn from others
  • Resilient, persistent, and motivated, with the ability to overcome challenges and remain proactive
